Louisiana SHRM (LASHRM) is proud to announce that it is one of the state recipient of the SHRM Pinnacle Award in the Southwest Central (SWC) region. This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding leadership and innovative contributions to the HR profession across multiple states.
The Pinnacle Award, SHRM’s highest honor, celebrates exceptional initiatives that advance HR and demonstrate measurable impact. As part of the SWC region, which includes SHRM state councils from Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah, LASHRM was instrumental in contributing to a groundbreaking Membership Collaborative Leadership Area (CLA) initiative.
This initiative, now in its second year, achieved the following milestones:
- Launched a shared platform (Basecamp): Facilitated real-time communication through message boards, chat features, and a resource library, enabling collaboration and best practices sharing across all SWC state membership leaders.
- Hosted quarterly virtual connection calls: Provided a safe, interactive forum for states to share challenges and successes. Each session highlighted an individual state’s membership initiative, fostering inspiration and innovation.
- In-person connection opportunities: Enhanced collaboration by connecting state membership leaders at SHRM Volunteer Leader events.
Thanks to this initiative, the SWC region achieved membership growth in every single state, highlighting the power of collaboration and shared learning.
“This recognition reflects LASHRM’s dedication to driving positive change and building a stronger HR community,” said Karen Breaux, State Council President with LASHRM. “We are honored to work alongside the incredible HR leaders in the SWC region to achieve such impactful results.”
